then someone knocks on the door. this begins a crazy string of events where three people in masks terrorize the couple.
the sense of dread felt by the couple is also felt by us, the audience. the director does an amazing job of building tension with silences and strange noises. not much happens, but we know something is going to, and it is terrifying. this isnt one of those movies that are all about torture and seem to be just an excuse to kill beautiful girls in grotesque ways (im talking about you, 'saw' movies), rather, this is a thriller that escalates with each passing moment. there arent too many gratuitous gore shots, rather, almost all the scares are done through sound. a strange sound is heard out side and the couple doesnt know what to do, and the sounds get closer.
very intense, and very well done. it had me squirming in my seat through out most of the film.
