blade runner: the final cut

you'd think that i would have seen this movie many times, it falls right into the kind of thing i usually like: sci-fi, drama, deep, strange. usually the marks of a movie i would love. but this is only the second time i've seen it. i didnt remember much from the first time i'd seen it, so it was kind of like seeing it for the first time. and i've got to say, it was just ok.

i know its got a huge cult following and is harolded as a sci-fi classic, but i just wasn't that impressed.  i appreciate its place in cinema history, it was one of the first movies to bring to screen the whole 'cyber punk' aesthetic- full-on distopian future and all.  i do really love rutger hauer's performance, but over all i wasn't that interested in the whole thing.
