i've been a star trek fan for my whole life. if forced to chose, i would take 'trek' over 'wars' any day (though 'gate' is my new favorite...). it's been quite a while since there was a good star trek movie though, so i was really excited about this reboot. i'm not precious with star trek, especially the original series, so i had no problem with the update. the fact that they actually included leonard nemoy into this version was just icing in the cake! over all i enjoyed this movie, it took the usual star trek formula and peppered in a whole lot of action, which i'm not against. the new cast is terrific and it just felt good to be in this universe again, even if everything and everyone feels quite different.
