u. s. marshals

having recently rewatched 'the fugitive', and owning a copy of it wrapped with this movie, i felt compelled to give this one a go. one of the many, many great things about the first film was the supporting team around tommy lee jones' character. in this film the spotlight is put on them as well. this time they are after another man wrongly arrested and escaped. wesley snipes plays a guy framed for murdering two fellow fbi agents, he's on the run and must prove he was not guilty. as the story unfolds, jones and his men start to uncover the truth about what happened and actually work to keep this man alive. though the introduction of robert downey jr. as a new member of the marshal's team mixes things up a bit, the film is able to build on the relationships between this team and how they work together. the movie is good, but not as good as its forerunner. but i guess if you compare any movie to 'the fugitive', its going to fall short. all in all, a pretty good film. i would be surprised of they don't try and resurrect this franchise sometime again soon. well, as long as jones is up for it!
