walking tall

i'm always up for a movie starring the rock! this movie is about a man who comes home from the military to find the town he grew up in has become over run by crooks who run the new casino. after he tries to stand up against it, he is beaten and left for dead. he goes in to set
things right. eventually he becomes the sheriff of the town, and along with his best friend johnny knoxville, tries to free the town from all the corruption. the bad guy fights back and tries to have the rock and his family killed. the story is short (as is the movie- only about a 75 minute run time), but the action is long! this movie certainly doesn't take place in the real world, where the actions taken would lead to a long time spent in prison no matter how justified they are. but that's not the point of the film, so it doesnt waste any time dealing with real world results. this movie is all about well deserved revenge: good against evil, no matter the cost. the rock and knoxville are at their charismatic best here, rock doing the heavy action, knoxville doing the heavy comedy and nutshots... i loved it, but i'm a bit bias cause i love almost anything the rock is in!
