invictus

an interesting look at nelson mandela as he begins to take over the role of president in the post apartheid south africa.  its interesting to see the different elements that must be dealt with for mandela to be taken seriously and all the different components he had to juggle in order to make good on the promises of change.  the specific element that this film focuses on is the football obsession of that country and how it played a part in cementing the changes of apartheid.  a stirring film with two great leads.
